A kid who licked toilets as part of the #CoronaVirusChallenge says he's now in the hospital with coronavirus. @gayshawnmendes was also just suspended from twitter
Onion Rings....the Caviar of the Pub lunch.
Really? Who knew?
Can you get vanilla ice cream, too?
Comet.
After extensive research lasting a massive four seconds:
I think that is the stuff sold here under the name Vim. Fantastic for turning Windows into lenses.
Jonah’s guest was Matt Ridley, Viscount Ridley, who has written several books including, just now, “How Innovation Works.”
He was a very cheerful fellow. I’m sure it would be nice to have him over for wine in the garden.
LOL...Not at the moment, all the pubs are closed for the foreseeable. :D
Highly abrasive powder with bleach. I also use Ajax, which is identical but cheaper, when it’s in stock.
That’s what I heard. North Carolina is now officially closed until May 9. Kathleen’s riding teacher is hoping she can begin lessons again the following week.
That reminds me: Viscount Ridley mentioned that someone he knew had been out riding his horse recently, and a bicyclist went past and yelled, “You shouldn’t be riding your horse. We have a lockdown!”
Ah him: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matt_Ridley
Had the name mixed up with Nicholas Ridley, an awful politician from Maggie’s reign.
His books look very interesting. Something to consider when our libraries reopen.
Now I have to do some laundry before Jeopardy comes on.
Sounds about right. *Snigger*
Now is the time to observe the behaviour of the human sub species known as the Busy Body. Strange little creatures. A bit like wasps. Annoying and always find other peoples’ picnics.
Not to worry, and please reassure Kathleen, that maintaining your social distance while riding a horse is easy, for between the two of you you will always have six feet.
Look! Airborne Floof!! Nice markings!
Good morning.
Since you weren’t up, yet, I wrote a letter and walked over to mail it. Now, I’m back, but I want to work a jigsaw. I’ll do that in a while.
It’s 56° out, and supposed to be 85° today. Maybe two more weeks and I’ll bring out the fans and get them cleaned up. At that time, I may be able to take the quilt off the bed.
I found the perfect pattern for that yarn! I’ll send you a photo when I get it made up.
Good morning. I didn’t have my alarm on, so I slept in until 5:10. The sun is up now. I need to make song pages for the “choir” - me and two others - and then I’ll see about the next thing.
I’m glad you’re getting a warm day!
On the “Some people need to get a life” front, a lady a couple of subdivisions over was selling margaritas out her kitchen window yesterday evening, and one of her neighbors called the sheriff *twice* because, “We have a lockdown!”
When the teachers’ unions decide the state can reopen, it’s going to be like East Germany after the Berlin Wall fell: people are going to remember who the ratfinks were and who was always posting, “You just don’t care if people die!!! #SoSelfish” on NextDoor.
Remember, folks: posting something on social media is functionally the same as putting a giant billboard in your front yard. Everyone knows who you are, where you live, and what treats your dog can’t resist.
Social Media is dangerous.
Most people in this area are just doing their own thing.
The Police know they are out numbered and so are behaving largely like adults. The same can not be said for other areas.
...Remember, folks: posting something on social media is functionally the same as putting a giant billboard in your front yard. Everyone knows who you are, where you live, and what treats your dog cant resist.
That sounds like a thinly veiled threat and I love it more because its true!
*tagline*
From me, it is just a sociological observation, because I believe that what goes around will come back around while I just shrug and say, "Huh. Did you learn anything?"
However, the NextDoor discussion about the margarita sale mentioned that someone could find themselves with flat tires this morning.
