A form of?
And Trump was wrong, the press will say.
Aquarium cleaner is chemically different and toxic. says not for human consumption on the bottle....
I would love to look at this voting history.
The story is a ridiculous one and they are spreading it everywhere it goes to show you how absolutely dishonest the liberals are.
It would be like taking rat poison because someone told you that coumadin is a good blood thinning drug to ask your doctor about.
You know it’s a BS anti Trump article when they call it “ aquarium additive”. Of course I expect it with NPR..
“”the couple, both in their 60s, ingested chloroquine phosphate, an additive commonly used at aquariums to clean fish tanks.””
what could possibly go wrong?
I think all safety and warning labels should be removed.
Let Darwin do his thing and clean up the gene pool a bit.
Death by Fauci.
Little Fauci disparaged the actual medicine,
so these people had to eat aquarium soap.
RESIGN FAUCI, RESIGN.
The media is the enemy.
A lot of Low IQ voters listen to this crap. They are not able to engage in normal discussions, the pride of our current education system is no independent thinkers !!!!
Don’t drink pool tank cleaner.
When it says ‘not for human consumption’, there’s usually a reason...
Good grief.
"the couple, both in their 60s, ingested chloroquine phosphate, an additive commonly used at aquariums to clean fish tanks." The aquarium additive the couple ingested is not the same as the medication that has been used to treat malaria.
Bullshit headline.
They took fish tank cleaner. That’s like putting hydrocloric acid on a cut because hydrogen is in it, like hydrogen peroxide.
Morons should not reproduce.
Meh, needs more chloroquine.
President Trump: "We must try hydroxychloroquine & azithromycin."
The Media: "That's false hope! It's not approved for use yet!"
New York Gov. Cuomo: "We must try hydroxychloroquine & azithromycin."
The Media: "This is real leadership! What a fantastic idea!"— Emerald Robinson ✝️ (@EmeraldRobinson) March 23, 2020
I’ve seen this story three times and the headlines are twisted by the source editors to make it sound like Trump is to blame for promoting medical chloroquine.
That fool and his wife took a form of chloroquine _phosphate_ formulated for use in cleaning fish tanks. Not for humans to ingest as a medical drug.
News media’s fault. In all the articles and stories, they mention how the drug is related to the aquarium chemical. It is as if they wanted this.
What they mean by "form" is phosphate, this is actually the full correct name of both the human and aquarium medication.
It is not a cleaner of any kind but a medication used against protozoa infections. While fish do not get malaria, they get many serious diseases caused by related organisms and anti-malaria human meds work on them.
Chloroquine is one of such medications, and a fairly bad one -- high toxicity. Good old quinine, in contrast, seems nontoxic in any dosages.
hydroxychloroquine, a form of
chloroquine mostly used by hospitals, is similar to chloroquine in activity (both against malaria and the coronavirus) but less toxic.
