Gotta love socialized medicine.
Old vs young contributions? With todays’ youth I find that hard to believe. Most old timers can get more done in a day working a shorter day and slower. They don’t have to stop and think how to accomplish something.
Riight. I'm 75 and was fortunate to be able to retire at 60, making room for a younger person to move into my job. Since then, I've been volunteering at our local hospital: pushing wheelchairs, serving food, waiting on cancer patients in our Infusion Department.
Our volunteer group also holds fundraisers to raise money that buys equipment for the hospital, as well as fund scholarships for high school seniors who are going into the medical profession. We also fund continuing education for hospital staff. Most of our volunteers are over 65 - we even have some in their 80s and we do this as a labor of love.
Agreed- the older generation selflessly answered the call to duty- knowing full well they very well might not come home alive- they laid down their lives for us- and now we have scum declaring they don’t deserve to be helped because ‘they might not make it’? I find that absolutely despicable- The young are saying ‘To hell with the Greatest generation on earth- We deserve to live, they don’t!” Deplorable-

The video below shows the animals that several on this thread have said should have priority over ‘old people who shouldn’t take valuable resources away from young people”

Hope that they rethink their disgusting comment!
