It's simple and straight forward. Someone under sixty who needs a respirator has a good chance of survival if they get the respirator. Someone over sixty who needs a respirator has very low odds of surviving even with the respirator.
Triage plain and simple, don't waste precious time and resources on those who have little chance of surviving anyway.

Meaning what, realistically? Certainly not that you aren’t going to die a horrible, tortuous death. Happened to many Saints: those of the greatest “faith and trust”.
God wants us to die, diseased, suffering, neglected , alone, in a hospital side corridor? Waiting to have your corpse hauled away in a truck to be tossed into a mass grave, with no funeral or loved ones able to attend?

Economics, not God, dictates exactly what you describe. What God wants is for man to build societies where what you describe can't happen because people look out for and love their neighbor as much as they love their self.

Yes, they have. Yes, it is. The people in the south are not too happy about it. I imagine it is also a logistical nightmare. The north had about the best health care/hospital system in Europe when this started. It crashed. The south will likely crash as well.
I’ve seen enough of the current, younger generation to realize that we need to keep our older, infinitely wiser generation going as long as we can. I think they should flip that over 60 rule on its head and give the ventilators to the older generation, because without that remnant of sanity the young would perish anyway from their own idiocy.

A bet there’s more employed 60 years old then there are employed 25 year olda in the US.
