IMO unless there is evidence of an out of control catastrophic illness and related deaths by the end of March, we can expect that people will begin to demand a return to normalcy. Most people I speak with expect to either see it is either overwhelming or underwhelming at that time, and will certainly begin to re-evaluate their condition.

Remember, only approximately 20% (I believe it was less) of the population participated in the Revolutionary War. I think that stat has held firm all these years later.
Even on this forum, people are flaming those who refuse to fall in lock step with this b.s. that is happening. The stats absolutely do not back up the actions that have been taken.

Soft quarantines don’t work so they are pointless. Stay isolated in home, but enjoy yourself at the farmers market.

Put up with?
This part is certain...you’ll put up with it as long as you perceive they have more power than you do.

Not for much longer on the local levels, maybe mid April? They might put up with the Feds a bit longer.

I am watching the population of our Rocky Mtn valley pretty much ignore the whole thing. Lowes and Home Depot were crowded yesterday, and the mass of ATV rigs and horse trailers on the road signals that people are just using their leisure time to hit the dunes and canyons.
This is the youngest population in the nation, so people just don’t sense the danger.

It’s a bizarre Catch-22. If the draconian measures seem to be working and the invisible enemy seems to be abating, Trump will be condemned for putting us all through this for nothing because the crisis doesn’t seem so bad after all. If the virus extends beyond these “flattening the curve” weeks he’ll be excoriated for not doing enough.

Next, money is too unsafe, so please here get just this little mark.

I’ll be upset when they order me to go to town. I stay at home during the winter anyway. So I’m not “putting up” with anything. I’m doing what I want and avoiding sick people in the process.
I am curious though, aren’t most of these lockdown orders coming from DimocRAT run cities, counties, states?
