According to Rand Paul's Facebook page he has tested positive for covid 19.

I concur. It would be grossly irresponsible for them not to be tested.

Best wishes to the man - I’d feel that way regardless of his politics, but as it happens he’s a principled libertarian. Sometimes he takes absolutist positions I find ridiculous, but sometimes he’s absolutely right. Either way, he stands for what he believes in, and that’s very rare in a Washington politician.

I assume your concern is for the inflicted. So what is the big effin' deal. If they test positive, there is no medical cure. So who gives a damn about testing. If you feel sick, hibernate so you don't infect others. But to bitch and moan about testing seems ridiculous to me if there is no medication for those infected.
