Unfortunately that’s not true - he has damaged lungs from the assault he suffered - having to have another surgery as recently as August.
In fairness, Paul is one of very few people over there who are capable of doing something good.... so let's hope he makes it.
I wonder if Dr. Paul prescribed for himself Hydroxycholoquine and Azithoroycin as a precaution?

Senator Rand Paul has tested positive for COVID-19. He is feeling fine and is in quarantine. He is asymptomatic and was tested out of an abundance of caution due to his extensive travel and events. He was not aware of any direct contact with any infected person. He expects to be back in the Senate after his quarantine period ends and will continue to work for the people of Kentucky at this difficult time. Ten days ago, our D.C. office began operating remotely, hence virtually no staff has had contact with Senator Paul.
Another article about this says he has no symptoms and was not around anyone infected. But of course he gets tested. I am so sick of these asymptomatic politicians, basketball players and rap artists getting these tests when you constantly read about poor sad sacks with fever and cough denied the test.
He shouldn't have been tested before people who were in bad shape, but he could well have had contact with infected people. If he didn't go to CPAC this year himself, he probably was in contact with people who did go, and they could have been carriers of the virus.

No. He is an uncompromising Conservative of the type that sounds good but never accomplishes a thing of importance. Politics is the fine art of compromising to obtain all that is obtainable under the circumstances of the time.
Reagan was a master speaker and politician who accomplished much. Goldwater was a master speaker who never accomplished much of anything. Trump is much more like Reagan. Paul mimics Goldwater, without mastering speech.
Accomplishments trump (pun intended) idealism.
Poor Rand can’t catch a break. First that kooky-krazy neighbor breaks his ribs over lawn clippings, now this.
Well in his case, he does have a damaged lung from the 2017 assault - he had to have a surgery done 2 years after the fact due to the extent of the damage to remove part of a lung.
So he won’t be around the Senate for the passage of Porklus 2.
