I don’t know if we still have one in Atlanta. The old I-85 Drive In is now a huge multiplex cinema.

If this had happened in 2016 Obama would have used it to cancel the election so he could have a third term.

There was one near our airport and it is now a long term parking lot for the airport. And another (in the west end) was turned into a multiplex cinema like how your I-85 one was.

Of course, moviegoers can enjoy a film from the comfort of their LIVING ROOMS, parked in front of a large INDOOR screen.

I would love to the return of the drive-in theater in America, though I fear the loss of common courtesy and the increase in narcissism in this country would diminish the experience in a lot of places.

Right, the drive-in theatre was part of an older civil society, in order to bring back the drive-in, I think we need to bring back parts (at least) of that society as well.

There are two drive-in theatres still operating here in the south Puget Sound area, the Skyline near Shelton and the Rodeo near Bremerton. Both have had to switch to the digital format, which was pretty expensive.
Another unforeseen problem for these businesses is the new automobiles with parking lights that come on with the ignition, and the necessity to use your car's radio (no more pole speakers) to hear the movie.
