The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

Depends on whether thats a small “C” CRLVXPQSMX or lower case “C”. The upper case ones apparently think so.
It is the last word of the quote I object to. I prefer to think of the value of hard work.
Like I said, it depends on the case of the first letter in CRLVXPQSMX.
