Today’s Cryptogram

Posted on 03/22/2020 3:58:32 AM PDT by nikos1121

Today’s CG was from Friday's Arkansas Gazette. The key to unlocking this puppy is deciphering the 5th word, then it's "Mush on the last leg of the Iditarod!" Under 2 minutes is a good score, under 1 minute is very possible today, Folks.

KEYWORDS: todayscryptogram
You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications.

The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.

PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.

You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram.

If you're just starting out on these, be patient, as you'll be proficient in no time.

If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hal’s Helper below:

You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.

I suspect that this is all about different ways of counting.

Depends on whether thats a small “C” CRLVXPQSMX or lower case “C”. The upper case ones apparently think so.

It is the last word of the quote I object to. I prefer to think of the value of hard work.

Like I said, it depends on the case of the first letter in CRLVXPQSMX.
