Italy is over reporting deaths according to the UK Telegraph. Anyone that dies there and has the virus is counted as a corona death, even if the virus did not cause it. NIH went back in and looked at several hundred death certificates in Italy. Only 12% were actually caused by the Virus.

By the same token, flu doesn’t kill many people directly either. These diseases typically weaken victims and make them vulnerable to something else that takes out the fatalities. My brother found this out - within an inch of his life.
