My SIL is a State Trooper.

He has been told to be very judicious in his application of the speeding rules.

Going 75 in a 65...not gonna be an issue. Going 95 in a 65 will still get you stopped.

He had to foot chase some kid the other day. That was stupid. They were not even going to search the car until the occupants took off.

So, don’t rob a store, beat your wife, or drive drunk. Pretty much like every other day. You will be fine. But if you interrupt their Netflix, you will piss them off.

You know, watching Live PD on the TV always makes me wonder just how stupid people really are. I went thru our Sheriff’s citizens academy years ago, and they always stressed that they catch stupid criminals, the smart ones never interact with them.

Why can’t folks figure out to just do exactly what the LEO says to do? It can save your life.

I feel very bad for our LEOs. Bad pay for what they give us.

It was easy being a soldier - we didn’t try to save anyone that wasn’t our own. Cops have to decide who is good and who is not.
