State pulls liquor license of Queens restaurant that flouts governors no dining in order
Was in a long line in an Upstate liquir store yesterday.
People, to a customer, were far more po’d at Cuomo and Albany than they are scared of the virus.
Upstate is a mess. And the pols are doing far more damage than WuFlu.
Indeed so.
A good snort ranks right up there with chocolate on the list of basic food groups.
internal sanitizer
Beside being locked up in a house full of kids requires some alcoholic relief
Got keep the alkies from going into DTs and drinking bad hooch.
I agree. If people can’t do anything else, at least let them enjoy a drink. If we are all going to suffocate, at least let us enjoy a drink.
Well, there goes my idea for a bathtub gin business... Cuomo ruins EVERYTHING!
Somebody tell Tom Wolf
Why not? Have you ever been to a full-blown Italian meal without some variant of red wine?
Right, governor?
“What can you catch from a liquor store?”
A case of Corona?
Good.
In Colorado, the bars/restaurants are closed, but the pot shops are open.
When I hear the term ‘essential’ being bantered about, the following scene from Schindler’s List comes to mind:

On the other side of this issue is the business knowledge of the government slug making these decisions. This is where the importance of a business is greater than risk of acquiring the ChiCom Flu. Many reasons can make a business more important, e.g., keeping people alive, national defense and so on. I am willing to bet there are critical businesses on New York's nonessential list. Government lackeys do not have experience, knowledge, education, intelligence and let's face it, the motivation to make choices about essential businesses. Understanding supply chains alone is beyond the jackbooted tyrants.
And before you think I am full of myself, I am not. I don't know everything that it would take to make these decisions. No one does. But people can make decisions for themselves much better than government because people have an intimate understanding of their own circumstances and needs. Government will never know these things. That is the essence of small government in all ways. It is the essence of freedom and liberty.
Now think about this, as a nation we are giving up our freedom and liberty, our jobs and livelihoods on a 1% to 2% chance of dying from this virus, if one gets the virus. And I will argue that the chance is lower because we can individually make choices to avoid the virus. Compare that to casualty statistics from WW I & II. And they are calling this a war.
Liquor stores and abortion mills are the new “essential businesses”...what a world we live in.
I was adding to my supply of rye, scotch, vodka and rum last night when the liquor store clerk put up a sign on the door saying they would not be closing because they have been designated as an essential business. Huzzah!
what a f-—ing farce of an order.
you can BET your sweet petunias
that the governor got paid off for it, big time
What about hardware stores and building supply stores?
Farm stores like Central Tractor?
I’ll drink to that.
