What does testing accomplish? Since a virus can linger in your system with no symptoms, what good does a quarantine do? You’ve already been infected and infected others. Quarantines for symptomatic people is like shutting the barn doors after the horse got out.

With this toilet paper crisis, it was bound to happen.
As of March 20: "COVID-19: U.S. at a Glance, Total cases: 15,219 Total deaths: 201" (No stats on Hospitalization from the CDC yet).
The death rate on the Diamond Princes ( a good scientific study) was .05% or 2 people out of 3870 (Max Capacity). Good for Comparisons. So I see 100 times as many deaths and 2000 times more cases so far for the Flu this season.

The real problem is that those juvenile spring break types pollute the hotels, motels and eating establishments.
A world of difference between the residents and the spring break crowd.
I don't know how you would do it, but the right way to do it would be to refuse the spring break crowd accommodations....maybe require proof of residency in the state and enforced by the cops.
But banning a walk on the beach is stupid.
I would remind all that since and including the Spanish Flu epidemic, we have had many severe flu epidemics, polio as well, and never was the country shut down as it is now.
?The Kentucky Derby ran in all of those years except for 1945. We went to ball games, movies and partied as best we could...often with a little moonshine.
Imagine, Spanish flu, polio, serious bouts of seasonal flu, WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, flu and wars every year running concurrently and consecutively...and we kept right on. No hiding under the bed.
