If the Japanese anti-viral drug can cure patients in 24 hours as the initial trials claim, is it racist to call it the Japanese cure?

That drug is approved in Japan, and being used in China. They say people recover and test negative in as fast as 24 hours from the first dose. Would be great if it was true. If it is true, I don’t want our FDA to block it from coming to market. People should have a choice - and Japan should be pretty trustworthy when it comes to those kinds of projects. No reason to make the drug maker jump through all the FDA hoops if it has been approved by Japanese regulators for use on Japanese people. And Chinese people!

Time will tell.

Not 24 hours or 100%, but "tested negative for the virus after a median of four days, compared with a median of 11 days for those who were not treated with the drug" and "lung condition improved in about 91 percent of the patients who were given the medicine, compared to 62 percent of those who didn’t take it"

Seems there are a dozen different drugs claiming to cure CV19. I guess when there's a lot of money to be made, that happens. Especially when the patients are in China, where they will let you test anything on their people (for a cut of the profits). Hopefully, we figure out which are most effective quickly and start treating patients.
