I am of Germanic/Teutonic extraction on both sides of my family, going back through my Lutheran forebearers to my genetic bloodline in southern Germany. I was born and raised in a home in a mountainous area of the country which still celebrates our roots.

Am I a racist pig to happen to like sauerkraut, braunschweiger, Liebfraumilch, and even enjoy it on Thanksgiving, or am I just considered a sausage-chewing, blonde-diddling Goth wino looking for a new stand of trees to conquer? I think not.

When I was there, I thought the food was the best I ever tasted, including bratwurst, rindswurst, Hungarian goulash and the schnitzel sandwich. Their salads were fabulous too. Mmmm, great food. 👍
