I suspect that the status of this drug will be approved for general use within 24 hours. Trump wont play FDAs games.

I watched the news conference and I think this article is imaccurate. His clarification was on the other drug, I believe this one is approved for immediate use the other 1 is still in its 1st clinical trials and that’s why it’s restricted. But I can tell you that if you get very sick Your doctor will not hesitate to request permission to give you either drug.

Very quick approval. They need to keep track of the data on what works and what is just BS, is all.
Compassionate use for Chinese Coronavirus is THE PROPER WAY TO DO THIS. If a doctor or hospital wants to use it on such patients it will be AUTOMATICALLY APPROVED. But the case will be registered and the doctor/hospital needs to report outcome of use. We’ll GET GOOD DATA QUICKLY — THIS IS A GOOD THING.
ANY DOCTOR/HOSPITAL WHO DOESN’T LET A CORONAVIRUS PATIENT KNOW OF THIS AS AN OPTION AS A CHOICE would be GUILTY OF MALPRACTICE.

They are not sure of the dosage needed. So, further clinical tests are ongoing. You don’t want to treat the patient with the wrong dosage and fail to treat the virus. Those patients who will be treated, will be on an experimental basis.
