A “freaked out” Georgia woman with coronavirus has a simple message for anyone considering venturing outside: Just don’t go.
Arianne Fielder, 34, started isolating herself inside her Marietta apartment on Wednesday after being exposed to COVID-19 during a visit to her oncologist’s office for cervical cancer treatment last week, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
A nurse later called Fielder and told her that “coronavirus was in the pharmacy” at her doctor’s office at WellStar Kennestone Hospital. Two tests then confirmed the virus had infected Fielder, one of 121 Georgians who have been diagnosed as of Tuesday, according to a Johns Hopkins University database.

“I think my dog’s been more sick than I am,” Fielder said.
If she has cancer she could be undergoing chemo. Could be very serious for her.
Yikes! I just got back from the doctor’s AND the pharmacy.
Probably a good idea to avoid places where sick people are likely to be if at all possible. Your odds get a lot worse.

She’s been EXPOSED. The tests out there are notoriously unreliable. She could have a false positive result or she could be one of those people that have no symptoms.
In 5 days she’ll be clear but please, in the meantime, lets all write hysterical articles and demand people panic in the streets.
OK, I would be livid at ANY oncologist’s office that wasn’t practicing constant cleaning, severe distancing, and had all their employees using some sort of protection.
An employee spreading this disease to a cancer patient is really the worst-case scenario we are trying to avoid.
I know my local pharmacy is using gloves for all handling of the prescriptions, and yet I don’t touch the bag, and I’m wiping down the pill bottles.

Sorry, I posted to you before I saw your followup post.
I don’t know anyone who has the virus and i don’t know anyone who knows someone who has the virus.
This is going to be very serious for her what a shame, so many people are running to the doctors when they should just STAY HOME!! The doctors can’t do a damn thing for them and they are infecting people like this lady who HAS TO BE at the doctor!!
Has she and everybody else who thinks that we should ALL stay home, ever considered that somebody has to go out in order provide what is necessary for them to stay alive. Also, this might be a good place to post this link https://journalofethics.ama-assn.org/article/ethics-quarantine/2003-11 to the AMA statement on the ethics of quarantines. I have read it quickly and it seems that governments all around the world including the US are completely disregarding AMA ethics statement.
As I said in another thread,,,,,,,, I’m 1,.000% against shutting down Americas backbone by not going out. Yesterday, went out to a restaurant and went dancing afterwards. Tipped the waiter at the restaurant nicely and doubled my tip to the band later that night. My friend sitting across the table did the same. Danced with a couple of lady friends besides the wife and will continue to do so. Play cards later tonight and expect to do the same next Monday. I’m not staying in my house. And I hope to help all the local businesses stay afloat.
As to the virus I hope they find BOTH a cure and and antivirus vaccine ASAP. That is what I think needs to be done. NOT CLOSE UP SHOP.

However I just found out my wife's sisters daughter has COVID-19. She is in quarantine.
Fortunately we are in the Boston area and she lives in Georgia.-Tom
