NY Atty Dies Following COVID-19 Complications

New York City defense attorney Richard E. Weber Jr., a partner at Gallo Vitucci Klar LLP and a longtime board member of the LGBT Bar Association of Greater New York, died as a result of complications from the new coronavirus, the LGBT Bar said Thursday.
Weber disclosed his symptoms to his firm March 10, and the firm then closed its Manhattan office, senior partner Howard Klar told Law360 in an email.

MONTPELIER Gov. Phil Scott and Health Commissioner Mark Levine on Thursday night announced the state’s first deaths among those infected with the new coronavirus COVID-19.
The first was a male resident of Windsor County, who had been hospitalized at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in White River Junction. The second was a female resident of the Burlington Health and Rehab long-term care facility in Burlington. Both were over the age of 80.
