MONTPELIER Gov. Phil Scott and Health Commissioner Mark Levine on Thursday night announced the state’s first deaths among those infected with the new coronavirus COVID-19.
The first was a male resident of Windsor County, who had been hospitalized at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in White River Junction. The second was a female resident of the Burlington Health and Rehab long-term care facility in Burlington. Both were over the age of 80.

Two COVID-19 deaths in Wisconsin confirmed

Two people in Wisconsin have died from COVID-19, Gov. Tony Evers announced Thursday, a week after declaring a state of emergency because of the growing global health crisis.
The first Wisconsin death was a man in his 50s from Fond Du Lac County, Evers said. The second death was a man in his 90s from Ozaukee County.
