UPDATE: A Covid-19 case correlation between malarial and non-malarial countries has been plotted by Dr. Roy Spencer, and the results are stunning see below.
Encouraging news: three new medical studies show a commonly available anti-malaria drug known as chloroquine aka chloroquine phosphate is showing strong results against COVID-19 infections in both China and South Korea. Excerpts from three studies, including one published in Nature are below.

That’s what I don’t get. It’s not an anti-viral drug.
I told a top French consultant about this and she said Sanofi, a drug Co is giving 300,000 boxes to French state.
I read that Trump brought up chloroquine but the FDA pushed back saying it needed further testing. It was mentioned here in an earlier article today.
Zinc supplimentation plus hydroxychloroquine ... The zinc kills the virus, the chloroquine opens the virus to zinc absorption is what is being reported.
Well, supposedly there is not enough of the active ingredient in tonic water to be effective. Still, I will have a gin and tonic or vodka and tonic just for fun.
It’s been on” Watts up with that for” 2 days and no mention in MSM...weird.
Quinine and chloroquine are two different things.
If this is true and Trump thru Dr Fauci makes the announcement at the FDA presser tomorrow, watch what happens to the stock market. We could see the highest 1-day gain in Wall Street history.
There was a Stanford Med School spokesman who said a French researcher had submitted a peer-review paper which claims the drug is 100% effective. There is also an Australian researcher who has made a similar claim.
It would be poetic justice if this drug is only available in the West and not China. It would be interesting to see how Trump would put the squeeze on the Chicoms.
Wiki:
Chloroquine is a medication used to prevent and to treat malaria in areas where malaria is known to be sensitive to its effects.[1] Certain types of malaria, resistant strains, and complicated cases typically require different or additional medication.[1] Occasionally it is used for amebiasis that is occurring outside the intestines, rheumatoid arthritis, and lupus erythematosus.[1] It is taken by mouth.[1] It is also used experimentally in the treatment of COVID-19 infections with encouraging preliminary results.[2]
Common side effects include muscle problems, loss of appetite, diarrhea, and skin rash.[1] Serious side effects include problems with vision, muscle damage, seizures, and low blood cell levels.[1] It appears to be safe for use during pregnancy.[1][3] Chloroquine is a member of the drug class 4-aminoquinoline.[1] It works against the asexual form of malaria inside the red blood cell.[1]
Chloroquine was discovered in 1934 by Hans Andersag.[4][5] It is on the World Health Organization’s List of Essential Medicines, the safest and most effective medicines needed in a health system.[6] It is available as a generic medication.[1] The wholesale cost in the developing world is about US$0.04.[7] In the United States, it costs about US$5.30 per dose.[1]
Made by Bayer, but is presumably off patent.
My doctor is "waiting for FDA approval process to be completed" and will not prescribe this item at present.
I am not convinced that 18 months of double-blind studies on a handful of US patients is a reasonable process. Some changes are needed here.
Well he should push back, as it’s been around for decades.....and it is dirt cheap.
AntiviralChloroquine has antiviral effects, which works by increasing endosomal pH required for the virus/cell fusion process
Chloroquine also seems to act as a zinc ionophore, thereby allowing extra cellular zinc to enter inside the cell and inhibit viral RNA dependant RNA polymerase. This could be the potential mechanism of action of chloroquine against COVID-19.
Amazingly Covid-19 is already listed on the Wiki page.
Bttt
The article about the French researcher was posted here on FR earlier today.
for later
I think many or even most of our reps may also be sociopaths, and narcissistic ones at that.
