Good idea. Thanks for the warning (even though I haven’t had one for many years.)
I highly doubt they will not make provisions for people to clean out their boxes.
Ours are at a main branch/division bank.
Its too late. Temporary hours close at 4pm
Thanks. They don’t want to catch the disease from customers. Banks are keeping drive through banking (ATMs) and online banking open, though. At least some of them are also doing lobby business by appointment with extra precautions.
Thanks for posting. BUMP!
Don’t want to handle that dirty money. Hey! I have a great idea! Lets go cashless. All you need is a harmless chip inserted into your left hand or forehead. Problem solved.
Uh oh.
I stopped by the bank today. For self-distancing good practice, they closed the lobby and are taking transactions at the drive-up only. That’s where every customer handles the plastic cylinder. The window where you’d drop a deposit into a drawer — that’s closed. No, you have to paw the plastic container with both hands, twice: once to load it and once to get your receipt.
If it’s not in your hand and you are not able to defend it with a gun, YOU don’t own it. - slightly paraphrasing Ann Barnhardt
But...wait...my characters on the screen...LOL!
At my bank, if you need to go inside the lobby (for safety deposit box, etc) you now need to make an appointment.
“Normal” services will be via the drive through only.
In California the state steals what you have in safe deposit box’s. They do so if they say you have abandon it. They will claim they tried to contact you but alas they could not find you so they steal your valuables.
