They’re called snowbirds. Their residence is up North somewhere but they have a place in FL for winter because winter in FL is like Spring up North. They have the means and free time to live in both places. Mostly a bunch of retired Union workers that made $40-50/hr and when they retire, that paycheck keeps coming in for life.

How many of these snowbirds vote twice in general elections? It is probably very easy for John J Smith, with a Florida address, to vote in person while John Smith, with a New York address, votes by absentee ballot. This has probably increased the Dems vote over the years.
