I don't like it. The left just may enjoy this too much but never admit it. A lot of old(unproductive) people die off-death panels. Then they start demanding money for those 'affected'. Opportunists who pronounce that the sky is falling. To the right news the 'public gatherings' in public schools will play into our hands. Drive our own cars rather than take public transportation like the left wants us. You tell me.
Tell you one thing. Its a REAL wake up call to us.
It shows just how easy it might be to defeat this country.
All caused by a flock of hysterians.
I think this will result in a shift away from globalism. Factories are more likely to return to their hime countries and when that happens there will be many more new jobs. National sovereignty and border control will increase. For those that didn’t move money out of the market, their investmates will mostly recovery. For those that have spare cash, when the market returned will make a lot of money.
Of course, that’s all my opinion. We will see over time what really happens.
IF the road to hell is paved with good intentions then it must follow that the 'super highway' to hell is paved with democrat party intentions
I wonder how many brand new government agencies will be created due to coronavirus.
We won’t know until we see the longer term economic fallout.
Yeah...If this doesn’t prompt a greater degree of self-sufficiency and border/travel controls, then nothing will.
Not really. Trump’s Gallup approval rating has slipped from 49% to 44%. The media has found a new angle to go after him, and it’s leaving a mark:
Trump’s Job Approval Rating Slips to 44%

And how many even here all because 1% of 1% of the population has symptomatic exposure to this flu are so willing to relinquish their rights, oaid for with 1000’s of years of blood and sacrifice. On the off 1% chance Grandma shows up at the local ER and has to get treated in a hallway. I am NOT willing to give up my liberty to protect your Grandma...sorry, just not. Sometimes 1% has to be the maybe be the sacrifice for the other 99.2% if it comes down to it. Everybody got to die sometime. Anyone with a military background knows you can’t plan a battle without expecting ANY casualties. You can live in fairy and unicorn land but that’s for utopian Bernie acolytes. My liberty has been paid for with a price and just not willing to give it up, even if it means I get sick(which I am)
Gallup = Hillary wins in a landslide.
“I think this will result in a shift away from globalism.”
I dunno. If we get thru this ‘insta-recession’. They couldn’t bring down the President, so now they’re trying to bring down the country.
> I think this will result in a shift away from globalism. Factories are more likely to return to their home countries... <
I believe that might happen in the very short run. But then the bean counters will reappear. Theyll tell their companies that they can save one penny per unit by moving production overseas again.
So in five years well be back to the same old thing.
All it took was to get the schools to close.
Then all the single parent homes or the homes with two parents working had to take off work to take care of the kids. So schools closing = no workers = frozen economy.
I blame the feminists.
Our economy is being destroyed by DEBT. We have been hit with, by historical standards, a mild pandemic that causes some societal disruption. But for individuals and companies up to their eyeballs in debt, the slightest disruption means collapse.
Take the name "COVID", for example. It's a "cove" ID, sounding like "cove-hid", and with everyone hiding in their caves, dens...

Revelation 6
15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?
"Him that sitteth on the throne" is the one wearning a crown (corona).
Sunny day! I'm out the door for some yard work.
It just shows how the Media controls this country
And it took them 3 years to finally take out Trump
Sorry to call it but the economy is what matters
Massive layoffs are already be announced.
Its over.
China and their China Virus got back at Trump.
Quid Pro Joe will be president, unfortunately.
“We wont know until we see the longer term economic fallout.”
How could it be anything other than disastrous?
I don’t see this national shutdown lasting for more than 6 weeks. I just don’t see how that can be sustained.
