Thread #18 is here:

The US is almost 100 times bigger than South Korea and we have had so far almost the same amount of deaths. There have been 75 in South Korea and 77 in the US.
The 77 of course includes the extreme skewing by Washington state which has 48 of the deaths, most of them from several rest homes.
And, as the chicoms have taunted, we will fight the ‘sea of coronavirus’ with no medical supplies.
I suspect this is the reason behind the ‘over reaction’ by those in charge.
“Deborah Leah Birx (born April 4, 1956) is an American physician and diplomat who serves as the coronavirus (COVID-19) response coordinator for the White House Coronavirus Task Force.[1]”
Birx has served as Ambassador-at-Large and United States Global AIDS Coordinator since 2014. In this role she has been responsible for PEPFAR’s US$6.6 billion program in 65 countries supporting HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention programs.[2]
I think so too, I think this + aerosols is the reason for the shift.
Latest global numbers on closed/completed cases:
Cases which had an outcome - 88,414
80,889 (91%)
Recovered / Discharged
7,525 (9%)
Deaths

If you focus on deaths, none of this stuff makes sense.
The issue is critical care requirements.
_That_ is what this is about..a decimation of the health care system—that can take us from a great system to a third world scenario.
Per KSTP-TV in Minneapolis-St Paul, the Mall of America is closing effective today thru at least March 31st.
That’s huge.
“I am so impressed by President Trump.”
Yep, he showed up, he’s kicking ass now. I feel a lot better about things (more scared, really, as I’m more realistic and understand the crises better, but I feel better that he has taken charge.)
I can only think that when the President said after talking to President Xi that, “it will be gone in April . . .” that that was the information he was truly being given, not only by Xi but by his own CDC.
It took them awhile, too long, to figure out what was going on.
But now that they understand it, I can see their plan unfolding and I think they are going to do the best they can, and the best they can is going to be enough to see us through.
She does have a calming voice and attitude.
Health chief: Georgia seeking out medical equipment amid shortages
Dr. Kathleen Toomey said some of Georgias hardest-hit communities are experiencing equipment shortages and that Gov. Brian Kemps coronavirus task force is in the process of identifying supply sources from both the federal government and the private sector.
Not only are we looking to obtain that kind of medical equipment, also personal protective equipment, Toomey said when asked about ventilators and respirators during a live interview on Georgia Public Broadcastings Political Rewind.
They really seemed to have hit their stride. That is great. We need leadership now. He is doing that.
Market seems to like what it’s hearing, up 930 now.
Halp, I’ve got glass in me lungs.
This isn’t 2019 anymore.
Our medical field is going to have to learn to operate 1900 style until we start manufacturing our own supplies in quantity again.
Kids can’t congregate any more. Strep throat will be a deadly disease again without antibiotics. Strep goes through the local schools here several times a year with umpteen kids getting shots or the bottles of antibiotics for that. Ditto daycare. Daycares are microbe factories...now imagine them without antibiotics...
The whole team looks more relaxed today.
That is the acceptance stage—gets the emotion out of it—rolling up their sleeves now to deal with it.
Looks like a very common set of ingredients among cold medicines.
No messing around. Attacking it from all angles...health, economics, social, etc etc
Agreed on all fronts. What are the kids who are joking about the Boomer Remover virus going to do when they find out its targeting them now? It was only a matter of time. Viruses do what they do, the run out of one source (elderly) and they find another.
