From stop and shop
Stop & Shop
Dear customers,
Part of that is showing compassion and care for some of our neighbors who are most vulnerable to the COVID-19 virus. According to the CDC, that is members of the population who are age 60 and older.
To support this group, beginning Thursday, March 19th, all Stop & Shop stores will open earlier in order to service only customers who are age 60 and over from 6:00a.m.-7:30a.m. daily.

If you are retired, why would you want to get up at or before the crack of dawn anymore?

I agree. People cuss them for cheap stuff, but in this community of around 9500, they and Family Dollar are the only stores of their type..being they are the only ones offering grocery items.
The good ol boy club in the county seat figure a community of 9500 do not deserve a genuine grocery store and oppose it when ever one is proposed here.

Great! Get all of the most susceptible, low-income, coronavirus targets together in one closed in area. Perfect.

old people are supposed to stay home because their health is so precarious...or did we shut down sports/vegas/bars/restaurants/movies/celebrations for the hell of it so they can go shopping?

How old is a senior? If you don't know you're a senior, you're not one. :) Of course, I guess you could be one but then you've forgotten that you are one.

either oldsters are victims or not....they can't have it both ways...
I'm 66 but I so sick and tired of this mass genuflection...
we should worry about the young people....
