says experts project the coronavirus outbreak in NY will peak in about 45 days. As many as 55,000-110,000 hospital beds and 18,600-37,200 ICU beds will be needed. There are currently 53,000 hospital beds in the state and 3,000 ICU beds.

I think Cuomo’s numbers tie together pretty well.
While that will be the peak, it will be a slow slide down the curve, probably several months imho before their health care system approaches “normality”.
