They’re freaking out over meat and dairy which are also made in the USA. That one lonely can of spinach on the shelf I bought a week ago was produced right down the road.

“I learned that some 40 years ago. Fever is the body doing it’s job killing the virus. Taking fever reducers defeats the purpose.”

Early on, someone pointed out that during the Spanish Flu, people were downing aspirin like it was candy...and it had exactly the effect you describe, and caused many more deaths.

It would be good if we have something more than my memory to support something this important, before trying it.

We have been praying that God would use this to bring about a revival.

The church is usually purified by persecution, but it occurred to me that something like this could also purify it as people finally get their attention on what’s really important.

And it will provide great opportunities to witness to others.

9/11 was a course correction but it did not last.

This may actually last.

As nervous shoppers strip grocery and variety store shelves of tissue, Georgia-Pacific’s Naheola mill is working to churn it out. The Naheola mill currently employs more than 900 people. It produces retail bath tissue and paper towels, and also makes bleached paperboard used to make Georgia-Pacific’s Dixie plates, cups and bowls.

At the same time, Georgia-Pacific also manufactures hand sanitizer products for businesses and the medical industry. Abercrombie said demand for hand sanitizer is currently ten times the normal amount.

Another reason the company is able to meet the demand is that the Naheola mill last year saw a $120 million investment that specifically targeted its toilet paper capability. Georgia-Pacific has pumped more than $500 million into the mill over the past six years, and about $1.6 billion into its Alabama operations.

Another version.

Elder flubro goes to the hospital in three weeks because he can’t breathe. They tell him, sorry but you don’t meet the criteria for an ICU bed because we’re in triage mode now. Please go home. We wish you the best of luck.

A combination of normalcy bias and confirmation bias (the latter based on the 100% healthy suspicion of government and our wretched media).

I posted this on another thread, but this may be a more appropriate place for this.

Saw an interesting statistic today about testing for COVID-19 results in Washington in the Seattle Times daily update.

Of the 10,220 tests done in WA state only
769 were positive for COVID-19.
9451 tests were negative.

Not sure what to make of this on initial review but may have to look and follow their data.
