Health in general. At my wife’s cardiac therapy the exercise regime was touted as curing 90+% of all health ailments. Worth a try.
One article I found stated there is some healing in the cilia after a person quits smoking. If it gets to emphysema before quitting, not so much.

I once asked my health care provider if I took up smoking and then quit, would I get all the health benefits of quitting smoking. That guy has no sense of humor.
