Their thought is that they can use this to get President Trump out of Office. Expect anything.

I expect many non-chain restaurants will end up closing for good and chain locations will carefully evaluate all their locations and close under-performing ones.
Probably. I posted on another thread that many restaurantsd should make it if they stay open for take-home, all they need is 2-3 cooks and a cashier. But they'll be crazy understaffed when everyone reopens, since all their waiters/hostesses/busboys/dishwashers will likely be gone.
But, thinking about it more, no alcohol sales on take-home, which is generally a big portion of restaurant profit, more high-margin than even a salad. Yup, unless these stupid States let them reopen in a week, a lot of them will be gone permanently. If it even takes a week.

-Bullshit! If obama or Hillary was in the White House, you would not hear a peep from. The media and Democrats think they can use this to get President Trump out of Office.

I recall reading somewhere it is six feet. Trying to find the source online for the six feet.
Hm, I didn't see anything specific on a quick skim through those links, but I'll take it.
So most restaurants will just have to block off every other table. Which matches some State's new limits on half-capacity. Hm. How does this work for seating new arrivals, do they have to weave through tables to avoid everyone already seated by six feet? Do waiters have to drop off your food at the next table, then you grab your plate after they walk away? Do people have to park every other spot, just in case your family happens to leave at the same time as the other one?

Good questions. I would think it would be impossible to keep six feet away from anyone.
When I have a chance I will see where I read the six feet from. I remember reading it. There has been so many things I have read. It might have been an email from work.

A restaurant that has is well managed, successful and established can probably survive a week on take out only. Two weeks, probably not so much. If they aren’t well managed or just starting out, I would guess 75% or more will be closed within a few months, if they ever reopen at all.

you ready for tomorrow. Here it comes - Gonna make last monday look like a cake - two weeks in a row - I'm telling you whats going to happen - you could've made money. Why is it, or does it stay ridiculous when the context highly suggests it will happen. Don't at some point you become ridiculous? I'm not trying to be my usual ahole self but look around. Is there a panic - absolutely, are the terrible people in the press trying to use it to take out our champion? You know it!
I'm not an expert at epidemiology but I do make a lot of computer models and simulations and coincidentally a book I bought to model market phenomena, and societal behavior has a meaty chapter on epidemics. I've spent the last two days digesting that and writing some codes.
My conclusions, and I reserve the right to change these as I'm still learning and thinking.
- Corna virus are nasty - this one did a three mamel jump or can (bat, human, dog) I think thats unusual but not sure researching...
- We are on what is called in epidemiology the knifes edge where small changes in the contact network and behaviour will/can determine if this pathogen dies of in a finite number of waves or can make in roads into the global population enough to have an very very long lifecycle for all effective purposes infinite - this is why better hygeine coupled with eliminiting the number of people you come in contact with lops off huge branches of the social network and the pathogen burns out without any new hosts to infect
- The chinese are lying about it - sure they lie about everything but they lying and running the crematoriums at fully capacity concurrently and that ain't good
- Corna virusus seem to be a bit like velcrow or those thistle type plants that get on your socks sometimes out in a field or hiking. They can live on many of the surfaces that make up our modern life for several days
- There seems to be an oscillatory phenomena that occurs when concurrent infections get synchronized especially for virus or diseases which you can get again or develop only a temporary immunity (yeah that a thing)... Honestly this part I'm still working on understanding this part and I'm tired
It seems to me and I apologize if I'm not getting your sentiment correct but I would suggest You're looking at an epidemic (weak or strong I don't know yet but it looks strong) through a political lens. I know all the bs fake news doesn't make easy to even what the basic facts are. Thats why I'm trying to now figure out for myself using the theories one would hope these experts would be familiar with.
At this point - the concern seems justified and by and large everyone is doing exactly the right thing. That being said Tomorrow is going to be a difficult day, dump around 12:30 -1 EST we can't get in at the bell us small fries
Be well

Testing the pliancy of the People to see if the fear tactics are working...
Kind of ironic - we know that the Deep State and others use fear as a way to steer and control the people - we had the commie/nuke war threat until the Berlin Wall came down then it wasnt viable anymore and up pops Globull Warming, which has many in fear that were gonna destroy the Earth even as we do less harm than past generations and none of the data actually supports anything but the earths climate and Mother Nature do not now, and never did have a balance and even if they did, we have no idea of how to maintain one or fix things...all our efforts end up causing more harm....the coronavirus scare is no different - the panic-induced knee-jerking will cause more harm than the virus.
Folks who would be up in arms if the government decided to tell them they could not move freely are now begging that same government to lock them, and everyone else, down....Id wager if, after doing that, the story evolved they would also go meekly to barb-wire surrounded camps/tent cities because the latest info said thats the only way to stop it.
Even though we know that they use fear to guide and control us, so many cant see it through the red haze of insane panic....they not only welcome the government controls, they beg for them...
And the fear mongers will try to leverage it...
Reminds me of a saying, by Ben Franklin, that many FReepers, who are now acting insane, used to showcase:
Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

Depends on the type of restaurant, some of them are much more conducive to take-out than others. Some will survive just fine, but others (bars, super-fancy, buffets, etc) HAVE to have people coming in, their business model is rough to completely incompatible with a take-out style.

I found something, but will look for a written document by a government agency. It probably is a moot point by now.

“IMHO, when they get the desired result of to hurt the economy just enough then the COVID crisis will piratically end over night with a new economic crisis which they will blame Trump for.”
I think so too. The news media is destroying the U.S. economy (destroying the U.S) just to destroy one man Trump in the election.
They say 70 U.S. deaths were due to the corona virus. Compare that the flu 4000 per week were dying in 2018 because of the flu in 2018(And the media nor anyone said anything about that).
What do people don't understand context and math? 3 million people die in the USA every year, 80,000 in the USA in the 2018 flu.
Can't believe people are allowing the news media and government to makes us prisoners in our houses that we can't leave. Who is going to stock groceries etc? People are don't see the news media's goal is to destroy Trump and it has always been that.
A depression will really kill many millions of people worldwide and in the USA.
