He may have been at Mardi Gras parades. Dont know.
I can tell you from experience that patients that had not visited China, Italy, or other hotspots weee denied testing for several weeks.
We have no idea how many cases are out there.
Four teenagers in Pennsylvania have been diagnosed with it. Not sure of the impact on them.
A cardiologist at Childrens in Philly has died from it.
as of now there’s about 100 cases in Louisiana, most in New Orleans & suburbs. Two have died. A man 58 with underlying conditions(not public) but no info on who else.
None of those sick travelled outside the US in the past year. My best guess
Mardi Gras. It was Feb 25 this year. A million people on the streets from all
over the world. Locals either got infected there or by someone at the parades. And of course this was before society was shut down.
We’ll never know though.

We have close friends, a husband and wife, who were on a Caribbean cruise in mid-late February for 5 days. There were maybe 300 on the cruise total. These two got sick with bronchitis and pneumonia respectively about a week after their return. This was the very end of February, beginning of March. After a couple days at home, they made doctor appointments. They noted that they were out of the country and had fevers and other CoVid 19 symptoms, but there were no tests for it at that time. The husband got the worst of it, but they both stayed at home and in bed. Doctor diagnosed as pneumonia for him, and bronchitis for her. They both recovered about a week ago Wednesday but stayed home from work an extra day at the doctors insistence. We all think they had CoVid 19, but no tests were run on them. They have been in touch with others on the cruise, but so far, they are the only ones to experience these symptoms. They are wondering if they got it from someone on one of the 5 flights they took on this trip.
