There’s a rumor on the net this morning that in Washington state they are not rationing ventilators yet but they are artificial lung machines. The age cut off is 40 and they are also using a body mass index of 25 as apparently being overweight is a comorbidity.
Field report: I get my mail at a UPS store, so I dropped by there today (N CT).
The owner is a great guy, and we chatted about what is happening on the ground in our area.
He is concerned that he may be ordered to shut down at some point, and is working on contingency plans.
He and his employees were all calm, professional, and friendly—great people.
I avoided all shopping areas, but of course I don’t need anything at this point, since I am one of those crazy paranoid preppers.
We need to go back to yesterday’s policy of ignoring the trolls, whether they are posting or they are being responded to. They’ll eventually go to threads to take out their anger at not being prepared.
Schools need to shut down.
But put monitors on the kids so they stay indoors.
True dat.
I’m’a be working in my garden/driveway garden today. I’ll read/reply more this evening.
He knows there aren’t enough cops or jail cells to deal with the little thugs.
Yeah Duomo seems to have a good grasp of what’s going on. His solutions suck though.
h
In his presser yesterday, Cuomo said that schools for a lot of people are basically day care. Sad but true and the leftists actually prefer it that way. They love to feed the kids too. Keep them all day and feed them too, that helps the State become more of a parental unit.
h?
where’s the key to this code you use?
my feeble brain
Duomo = Cuomo
I wonder why this concept is so difficult.
Right....I get the Commie push, for keeping these indoctrination stations open, but...they’re overlooking the MAIN reason for closing schools, at this time...and, that is to prevent the spread of a contagious virus.
For the the grumbling and demanding Cuomo is doing...for FedGov to step up and do for his state, he’s downplaying a very important part of the prevention puzzle.
Either that, or he’s just admitted that his state is home to the biggest zoo of people, who must be held in captivity, in public daycare buildings.
Per KSTP-TV in Minneapolis-St Paul, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases has risen to 54 - up 19 from yesterday.
At least three of the 54 cases fall into the community spread category.
At last check (yesterday evening), none of the cases were in the hospital. That may have changed.
The total number of tests administered as of now has been about 1900.
It’s counter-intuitive. Hunkering down the community seems like a good way to get past the threat, but (if the “experts” are correct) it only delays the inevitable overwhelming of the hospitals
Flattening the curve, on the other hand seems bad at first glance because it means that people will contract the virus as matter of public policy — though the intention is to keep the number of severely ill below the treatment capacity of the hospitals.
I can see how people might balk at that — particularly if they think that a “cure” is imminent.

Bushnell view: Main E to W route, truck traffic down. N to S route traffic light. N-S all trucks. Dead quiet here at midday!
So quiet can hear mostly intra auditory canal!
