This article does more to stir up panic than it does to allay fears.

They make a big deal of exponential numbers but don't seem to consider that this virus has been in the country probably for the past three months, which means that everybody should have been in contact with it by now, and with the ten percent fatality they're touting there should be thousands of deaths.

In 1966 the word was that by the year 2000 a loaf of bread would cost thirty bucks ... at the current rate of inflation. The arithmetic was good if you accepted the premise. But the premise itself was false.

On a confined cruise ship they had 17% infected. on the Diamond Princess they evacuated 4. Of those, I am not sure how many actually died.
