Nope.
The China invasion has peaked.
We don’t. yet know if our peak from the European invasion ha peaked.
Not a chance.
I was sick late October through November. Never had a cough and sickness last that long. Exactly the symptoms of coronavirus. The date is too early, I know, but still.
Im not saying yes or no, but my husband who now works in hospital kept telling me about how bad the flu was right around thanksgiving. He said he found it odd because they really thought the flu shot would be much more effective vs last year.
Would need an antibody/serology SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19 test to determine that....I believe someone/some country has one already? Anybody know? An antibody/serology test would tell you if someone had COVID-19 in the past...not current status.
The hysteria and panic hasn’t even got its pants on yet.
Unsure. Work up this morning with a ferocious headache and spent a good part of the day hovering over the commode. Never hurled but it was touch and go a few times. So, did I have a touch of corona or a smidgen of regular flu? Or was it something I ate?
It would be nice if Housely’s optimism were so. But I look at how the administration is acting. While we aren’t welding people in their homes...we might still do so. These are not the actions of an optimistic outlook.
One could argue that the President has come under the doomer pandemic spell, but even the WHO refused to call it a pandemic until this week.
I have never heard of a flu being more dangerous because one took blood pressure medication. I never heard to a flu knocking someone to the ground causing violent shaking and then death.
But I am an optimistic guy so I will give it a few days to see what happens..
It may have started in November, thats fine.
But does he think it just automatically starts everywhere at once?
Some of these folks dont do the least bit of reading to learn how stuff works.
But yeah...its just the flu. And its over. Call off the mitigations.
I’ve hat that thought as well. The CoronaVirus hit China in Nov/Dec. It didn’t just stay put in the China or Europe for a few months. It hand to have come here back in December IMHO.
IMHO, that nursing home with 15-20 deaths in WA was what brought to to the national level of attention.
It’s my theory as well. We have the most airline passenger traffic in the world. Most countries just have several big airports, we have how many? Millions of passengers from around the world, hundreds of thousands of airport employees all in the path.
I believe our saving grace, as opposed to Italy is our relatively low population density. I do believe it will be bad in several clusters. The key is that we should be able to mobilize our medical resources to where they are needed the most. That’s why not only it’s crucial to keep the numbers down, but also keep the number of clusters down, so as to free up more resources to get where they are needed.
Uh, no. The author forgets that we sequence flus.
Would need to do a lot of random testing to confirm this.
I wouldn’t count on it, but it doesn’t hurt to hope it’s true.
The big problem, though, in the reasoning is that it should have run it’s course in China, where it’s from, and Europe, being that it moved from east to west.
Sounds like wishful thinking, I’d take just a tiny teaspoon of hope from it to help sweeten a very large cup of bad news. Even if this doesn’t pan out it’s good to have an overall hope.
Fauci says more misery, more death.
Like we’re just ramping up.
The contagiousness of this disease seems to suggest that’s the case.
Thats interesting.
Considering so much international travel, how would a virus which is extremely contagious take months to reach the U.S. from China?
Great post. Thanks. Health/life/1st hand information BUMP!
Except, WA State, where it first hit the US, it is still washing over us. 3 more deaths today, brining the total to 40. 643 active cases. 388 in King County alone. The wave is still passing over WA, and most of the country is not even wet yet.
