Has the Coronavirus already come and gone for most of the US? Adam Houseley, formerly of FoxNews, says that MAY be the case...
I had something last month, but I tested positive for influenza A. I had fever, fatigue, unproductive cough. Then it was followed up by a head cold. Can coronavirus cross react with the flu test?
It’s my theory as well. We have the most airline passenger traffic in the world. Most countries just have several big airports, we have how many? Millions of passengers from around the world, hundreds of thousands of airport employees all in the path.
I believe our saving grace, as opposed to Italy is our relatively low population density. I do believe it will be bad in several clusters. The key is that we should be able to mobilize our medical resources to where they are needed the most. That’s why not only it’s crucial to keep the numbers down, but also keep the number of clusters down, so as to free up more resources to get where they are needed.
whole house hit - each person approx. every two weeks apart and it started approx. 1- 2 weeks after coming back from Canada in late, late Dec. where everyone was talking about some really hard core flu type thing that had just been going around - since around Thanksgiving or slightly after. Much of the same symptoms. Everyone since recovered. Symptoms varied slightly depending on each persons weaknesses but essentially the same. I remember vividly, the first kid was saying it felt like “couldn’t breath”, so I kept a close eye on him. I knew this “flu” was different. I can always tell by what it does to me too. This happened from January all the way through Feb before the panics started. I knew again it was the same after another child got sick (by this time covid-19 was more known but not talked about much yet) went to the hospital got treated and sent home with anti biotic after the simple question of “have you been outside the US in the past 30 days?” I said “no”, but explained Canada trip. They didn’t care because that wasn’t part of the questioning - at that time. I was also sick in late Oct. (got better, normal flu bug/cold virus)and rarely get something twice in the same year... but got hit as I said, in January. I believe we have a good amount of immunity already. But I guess that doesn’t fit the story line being propagated. Anyone who thinks the virus was only coming from China is a fool. Maybe originally waaaay back, but it has been everywhere and we only know now because there is testing.
Uh, no. The author forgets that we sequence flus.
“He said he found it odd because they really thought the flu shot would be much more effective vs last year.”
I remember reading a few months ago that the flu vaccine was predicted to be 48% effective this season which was higher many previous seasons. If flu was bad this season then maybe some of it was the Wuhan coronavirus. Funny both my wife and sister in law came down with a dry cough and fever in Feb. I didn’t catch it but was sick in Jan. We all had flu shots.
Like liberals, they aren't happy unless they are unhappy.
Would need to do a lot of random testing to confirm this.
I wouldn’t count on it, but it doesn’t hurt to hope it’s true.
The big problem, though, in the reasoning is that it should have run it’s course in China, where it’s from, and Europe, being that it moved from east to west.
Sounds like wishful thinking, I’d take just a tiny teaspoon of hope from it to help sweeten a very large cup of bad news. Even if this doesn’t pan out it’s good to have an overall hope.
Trump has absolutely no choice to take the actions he's taken given the hysteria created by the media and Democrats. It's better to be overly cautious than blamed for unnecessary deaths.
Thanks. Glad you made it. I was with my family visiting my sis in California many years ago. At that time the Beijing flu was around. I think I got it from the plane ride out there from Michigan. I was on the bedroom floor of her house for 2 days and sick the entire vacay. I’ve never been so sick. I’ve had the flu about 3-4 times in my life. Each time I felt like I was hanging on for dear life. Never went to the docs. The 1st time I was so young the doctor made a house call (back in the day). Sheesh, I can’t believe I made it this far. My wife said the flu is going to kill me one day. She may be right.
Fauci says more misery, more death.
Like we’re just ramping up.
The contagiousness of this disease seems to suggest that’s the case.
Thats interesting.
Considering so much international travel, how would a virus which is extremely contagious take months to reach the U.S. from China?
Very interesting. Thanks for posting. It’s great that you are still here.
Fauci say that we can flatten the curve and reach the peak just like in S. Korea and China.
Great post. Thanks. Health/life/1st hand information BUMP!
“Is that a proven fact, or just the general conclusion? Lots of people travel to china, it’s the manufacturing hub of the world.”

You mean re: origin?
Here’s a response tweet, it also has an illustration, to the claim that might address that:

“None of you had this unless you spent November/December 2019 in Wuhan. The genome data has traced the exact emergence of this thing.”

Though, couldn’t someone from the US visit their late last year and pick it up, bring it here? I dunno, it’s too late for me to be up trying to think! But, at any rate, the time & location thing just seems kinda iffy for the theory.
Except, WA State, where it first hit the US, it is still washing over us. 3 more deaths today, brining the total to 40. 643 active cases. 388 in King County alone. The wave is still passing over WA, and most of the country is not even wet yet.
Here in Washington state we had our first Wuhan virus patient January 20. That one was given a non-FDA approved ebola vaccine which may have been the Gilead vaccine. He survived and went home.
Then we had a 50-year-old person on chemo therapy who went to South Korea, came home with no immune system and passed away.
We then had a Life Care petri dish of infection in mid to late February where people with existing conditions were infected and passed away. There were 20 or so of those patients.
Since then Washington state which is now eight or nine weeks into it is having decreasing deaths. There is a lot of testing, about 1,000 per day with 100 per day diagnosed as positive.
The positive rate is flat at 100 and the deaths are diminishing. I think that Washington state being the first and flattening out is likely what will happen in other states. The other coastal states of California and New York who were early with it will likely flatten out.
I believe this myself that MANY people that thought they had the flu actually had this virus and have already recovered from it!!! I believe this has been in our country since Dec.!!!
