I purchased a new PC with Windows 10 the beginning of the year, and one of the first things I did was install Open Shell (used to be called Classic Shell). I had never used it before, but many Windows 7/8 users who were forced into Windows 10 found it to be a useful application to install.
For the most part, I like Open Shell. But there is one issue that is bugging me that I can't seem to work around. In a Windows Explorer window, there is a Search box. Normally, past Explorer searches are retained and can be retrieved. That still works. What doesn't work is the ability to single out a past search string and delete it from the history. The normal ability to do this within Windows 10 (without Open Shell installed) is unavailable to me with Open Shell installed. The only option I have with the search history is to delete the entire history via the Explorer search menu. That's not what I want.
For the Open Shell users, is there a way to make this happen? Or does Open Shell block this feature normally available in Windows 10?
One person's waste of time is another person's boost to productivity. As it stands, Windows 10 (1909) is a hindrance to the usability for many users. If it doesn't for you, be grateful.

date range is still available but I have to jump thru hoops. I never seem to be able to get the calendar to popup.
Instead, I manually type the range as such: datemodified:2/1/2016 .. 2/7/2016
in the search box.
