I am not familiar with the author or the site but this came from a family member who is a high level academic physician.
It is the most compelling assessment I have yet seen.
We are about a week behind Italy. Public Health Authorities are dithering behind platitudes.
President Trump should lock the country down now.

According to this, the folks in Wuhan, where this all began, are returning to work.
Have you ever worked?
Take care of yourself. Everyone else will do the same. Stop being afraid and telling everyone what to do. Everyone has heard and will do what they want no matter how much you type.
Just do what you think you should do.
I’m going to do what I think I should do.
Ha! My sister went to WalMart today, and one of the things she bought for me was a six-pack of Budweiser! In bottles.
No toilet paper on the shelves. This is in Maine.
ARRRRRRRRRRRRGH! PRIMAL SCREAM! WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE!
The end has come!
Who will be left to dig the graves! Dogs will feed on the corpses as they pile along the streets!
Children will stumble along in search of long dead parents!
Woe is me! Woe is me!
Beer is food. Good choice! Buy a bidet. No need for tp.
And then we get to sit in our homes and watch the great depression part two. If everyone stays in their homes, the economy will tank. It won’t be long before all weak business fold. People will be laid off in droves. Then there will be the people in their homes not working from home but just sitting there. The rent won’t be paid. And the market will fall further.
Oh, and when we finally do leave our homes, the virus will be right there waiting for us. Its like climbing a tree to get away from a wolf. How long can you stay in the tree. And does this really solve your problem. The wolf can easily wait it out. This strategy is not going to work.
I’ve been saying this for 3 weeks already.
We must do it or we are going to get wrecked. Every Asian nation that did it has had success.
Good article. There were no warnings in my browser, and it’s one of the most secure browsers.

But in order to start working factories and workers have to comply with new health regulations.
The OCD hand washers shall inherit the earth.
We booked some flights for later. Cheap air-fare, and getting cheaper. Fewer crowds, less traffic, no lines or waiting at restaurants. Life is good. We have plenty stored away if TSHTF, prepared long long ago. This thing is overblown! Things aren't bad now. If things get bad, we're ready. In the meantime, don't panic and enjoy the lack of crowds.
Will everyone have to wear bunny suits? Oh well, they do that in chip manufacturing clean rooms already, factory managers will just have to train other workers to do the same.
I keep hearing we’re a week behind Italy. Why Italy?
Appeal to Authority Fallacy
Appeal to authority is a common type of fallacy , or an argument based on unsound logic. When writers or speakers use appeal to authority , they are claiming that something must be true because it is believed by someone who said to be an "authority" on the subject.
Italy has been on the receiving end of a lot of Chinese investment as well. All bullscat from the resistance to Trump through to this effort to generate hysteria to thwart the healing properties of capitalism leads to Iran... follow the money. The global Iran lobby argument for not renewing or escalating sanctions on Iran relies on "humanitarian" hysteria over the virus .
Not exactly but close enough. Each person needs to wear a mask and I believe face protection. They also need to do a daily temperature check. Plus trying to maintain a distance from each other. Don’t know what else they need right now.
Here in northeastern NJ there will be no Masses this weekend in our Catholic churches; Bergen County (the largest county, with the most cases in NJ) is closing all public schools.
“A virus doesn’t know politics”.
I need an antidote to this statement!
Don’t be a twit - if locking the country down is the best way to stop a virus and save lives, then locking it down every Flu season will save even more lives than it would do for the Great Dem Hope Virus...maybe we all need to become bubble people and never have any live interaction at all...
Get a grip.
