I made my way to the beer cooler. Everything was still in order, praise the Lord...
lol
That’s plenty of calories to survive :)
At my weight, sustained food shortages of 18 months would get me back to my college weight
I went to CVS today and was surprised to see bare or picked-over shelves for lots of things - cold and flu remedies, AirBorne, thermometers, heartburn meds, eye lubricant drops and lots of other ordinary things. I bought a larger-than-normal amount of deodorant, shave cream, distilled water and a few other things. I don’t fear complete collapse of manufacturing and distribution - I just want to avoid going out if it gets a lot worse (we are in one of the hot zones Santa Clara County, California).
Fought the crowds at Sam’s and BJs today. Bought 2 cases of wine to supplement an already burdened wine shelf. I don’t drink the stuff but the wife does. I made bookoodles of brownie points with the little woman.
There will be no wine shortage at the Moovova casa...
Where do yuou live? Liberal land?
I was in two grocery stores today. No shortage of anything.
I went to a Walmart Superstore today that’s about a half-hour from where I live. On every aisle, workers were stocking the shelves, and I found everything I needed (all food). I was amazed to see so many people stocking the shelves, because at my local Walmart Superstore, the shelves have been empty for the past two+ years.
We stocked up in late January. Why? Because real threat or not I knew the writing was on the wall that the threat was going to scare people. I even had conversations on here about how people react in Hurricanes. They panic. People who know human nature should know how they will react when they are scared-irrationally-and this they should prepare for that eventually.
So-whether its a real threat or not-if the naysayers in here didnt at least see the threat of the herd being spooked and take precautions and prepare for that eventuality-I dont feel the least bit sorry for them.
