Today, NCAA President Mark Emmert and the Board of Governors canceled the Division I mens and womens 2020 basketball tournaments, as well as all remaining winter and spring NCAA championships. This decision is based on the evolving COVID-19 public health threat, our ability to ensure the events do not contribute to spread of the pandemic, and the impracticality of hosting such events at any time during this academic year given ongoing decisions by other entities.

Just read in the Omaha paper that, according to Mayor Stothert, losing the College World Series is a $70 million hit to the Omaha economy. Ouch. That on top of the $20 million dollar hit for the cancellation of the NCAA tourney games here next weekend. Thanks WuFlu!

I follow college baseball...UCLA team has been playing well. But, now the season has been cancelled.
I remember watching College World Series when it was held in the old stadium...
