During an unusually severe bout of depression, I didn’t leave the house for almost a month. It’s not good to stay cooped up like that. It took another month or so just to feel physically normal.

And then there were men like Richard Wurmbrand, who would not bow to Hilter and the Commies , and spent 14 years in prison, 3 of which were in solitary without sunlight. And after being ransomed did ministry from the US for decades, and died at 93(!).

I can’t help that I have had head trauma. It causes more problems that just depression. Sudden outbursts of anger and bouts of delusional thinking round out the smorgasbord of mental health issues. I’m 52 and will probably be full into dementia by the time I’m able to retire.
So forgive me for not being a hero.

Must be great to be perfect.
God forbid you ever have a head injury that you live with the rest of your life.
