I spent months building 747 maintenance software for Lufthansa from 1998 though Dec 1999. Lots of time on the ground in Frankfurt am Main. Lufthansa was Y2K ready and I spent the New Year's Eve in the dispatch center of the San Diego Sheriff's Dept with my wife as she worked her shift. It was a quiet transition through midnight.
