“The patient wasn’t tested until he came into the hospital. Hadn’t had any reason to be suspicious of it. ***It was thought to be a cardiac reason that brought him in to the hospital***. And it was through the course of his medical evaluation that it was viewed as a good idea to do testing because he had a fever,” Dr. Lee Norman, the secretary of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
