I think a lot of people’s greatest fear right now is that Trump won’t get re-elected because of this. That’s what the flubros concern is about.
Hubby is VERY frustrated w/POTUS, over the *response* to this virus.
Lack of masks, testing kits (REALLY mad, about this), meds shortage, how he kept downplaying....it’s just the flu!, for a long time...comes home every evening venting about this one....wanted more honesty/tranperancy, from get go, on this thing.
But, will this change his vote, come November? No way.
The harder they flubro the more likely that is to happen.
UNprepared people will blame trump every single time.
When people realize it’s not just a regular head cold for some the betrayal will be extreme.
This is an either or virus. Either it’s mild or it tries to kill you.
And not just the elderly. They die because they’re old. there are a LOT of 40 and 50 somethings who have to be intubated and put on a ventilator to make it through this. Regular head colds don’t do that.
And remember, not every flubro is a right wing American. Some are foreigners, some are lefties who would LOVE for most old Trump voters to shuffle off the mortal coil (ie the rollcons). Some were long in the market and are getting their behinds handed to them. I feel for them but the market is never a sure thing.
Don’t know what to say about the taxi drivers and such. Ripple effects will be felt for a long long time. The supply chain ones too.
The best thing you can do is be prepared for 4 to 6 weeks IF you can.
We upped our 2 or 3 weeks to 6 weeks when this rolled along.
Normally we up it to 3 or 4 around ‘cane season.
But with all the crazy on the left and now China blaming US for the virus I expect all manner of shenanigans before and after the elections in Nov.
I DO entertain the idea from time to time that the DS did this on purpose. It’s really a governmental kobayashi/maru. Ignore it and your hospital/medical system collapses, try to stop it and crash the economy. There’s really a no win for Trump with this. He’ll just have to do the best he can and we will just have to support him. It’s not like there’s a viable alternative in either party (for decades even).
Except that this whole thing completely proves Trump is correct on the border issue and on bringing manufacturing back to the U.S.

Of course it is. They are the people who are panicking.
But when you consider the alternative is a senile, suicidal maniac you’ll see Trump will be reelected.

Let the President president. He’s doing it well.
And let the rest of us make ready for what might be coming.
Nobody is forcing anybody else to prep. But that guy wandering the neighborhood under quarantine begging for food is a spreader.
