Nassau County officials say an 81-year-old woman receiving hospice care at an assisted living facility has tested positive for the #coronavirus.
Prayers for all of those in that facility—residents and staff.
My wife works at a nursing home and it’s got me worried. They had a meeting about covid19 a few days ago and parroted the “masks won’t help” line. She said this morning that they aren’t allowing non-medical visits and anyone who does go there needs to go through the front door and will have their temperature checked. Helps a little I guess. My wife’s been to the hospital twice in the past year for breathing issues. She has inhalers and a nebulizer prescribed. Been an issue all her life. If she gets this, she’s probably a goner. We do live in the boonies at least. If things get too close, I’ll tell her to quit. If she refuses, I’ll disable the vehicle.
