She drives to St. Louis daily —spends 3 hrs on the road for a round trip—so that’s a good thing.

Exactly!! Actually she already does. In her former job she had opportunities to do that when the weather was bad etc. So she was on cloud nine. But the first thing that came to my mind was she’ll really hate going back to regular work time. LOL
She hopes that it will give management a chance to be more flexible in the future. She likes her new job, but the boss wouldn’t allow working from home—computer security concerns was always the stated issue.
Still, such good news for now.
