I’ve been sending links to schools around the area. I’m sure it falls on deaf ears. Kids are super spreaders - which is why Japan closed schools early in their outbreak.

I’m sure it’s closer to 50k than 10k.
Still constrained testing and of course many cases asymptomatic or mild.
I predict reporting of confirmed cases will peak in mid-April.
Actual case load will peak a month or so later.
Military quarantine, but no Kurt Russell stuff.

Yes, was talking about that the other day. Staff should be limited and the boys need to learn to take care of themselves without servants. Each of the line should separate to their own residences.

That fits with the engineer who crunched they numbers. She had hospitals at their breaking point in April.
But that did not take into account efforts to slow the spread.

My new axe to grind on this disease is unsourced and speculation at this point. However, I think the logic is sound.
The US has a major health issue that makes us much more vulnerable to CV serious illness and deaths than China, S. Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, and Italy.
That is obesity.
I leave it as an exercise to think about what that means for the numbers....
Heck, I didn’t realize the SEC tournament had gone from no fans to cancelled. Things are changing fast. Looks like all conference tournies have been cancelled.
Now, will March Madness still be held with no fans, or will it be cancelled? They’ll definitely have to use a different criteria to select the teams if they proceed since there’ll be no conference tournament champions with automatic bids.
