Las Vegas resort and casino properties are taking extra precautions and changing policies due to the recent outbreak of COVID-19.
MGM Resorts International made the announcement Tuesday that they will be temporarily closing their buffets at their properties including ARIA, Bellagio, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, The Mirage, Luxor and Excalibur.
The company said that the safety and health of guests and employees continue to be top priority. The changes will go into effect on Sunday, March 15.

Well, there is always Caesars. Very good. Golden Nugget in the old days was good. Not sure now, since the fish mongers took over.
Slots of Fun used to be good (no buffet) 32oz beer 99 cents...foot long kielbasa dog 99 cents. it’s prolly gone now. I think it was right next to Circus Circus.
Speaking of the circus...is that Joementia in the driver’s seat of The Clown Car?
I remember the foot long 99 cent dog at Slots of Fun.
I have eaten buffets at Bellagio and Mandalay Bay. Mandalay Bay might be the best combination of food and ambiance.
I have a hard time thinking of some of the high end buffets in Vegas as buffets. The food quality just exceeds expectations.
The Rio Seafood Buffet was top notch.
That is a whole lot of capacity. Where will the people go? The restaurants won’t have the surge capacity to take up this load. People will either be jammed together trying to get into the remaining food venues or just leave.
Headed to Vegas for a week in May. Doesn’t bother me since I don’t do buffets. I found long ago that buffets are really expensive for me since I can’t/don’t eat enough to cover the cost.
That's exactly why I don't do buffets. I eat like a bird.
Not to mention the ick factor of everyone gathering around the food and doing who knows what.
How Circus Circus is still in business is beyond me...
yuck
you know you are right.
during the breakfast buffet i’m still feeling queezy from the night before and during the dinner i’m feeling bloated from all of the day’s beer consumption.
I’d just rather order a per-selected meal from somewhere...
We’re supposed to attend a convention at Mandalay Bay in mid May. I’m pretty sure it will be canceled.
Last time i ordered a hotdog in Las Vegas was at the pool bar at the Aria hotel.
When delivered the “hotdog” was about the size of my forearm...
I was like you have got to be kidding me..
Ate about maybe 1/4 of it before i could not eat anymore.
what a waste.
Yeah, that was a nasty place last time I was there 35 years ago when the kids were little.
On the shuttle bus from the airport whenever someone says “Circus Circus” i just roll my eyes thinking of my free or $40-60/per night at the Paris or Mirage etc..
Been in there once...for like ten minutes.
ugh
Yeah. They’ve always seemed kind of icky to me too. I don’t do salad bars either. When I go out to eat I prefer to be waited on.
Mandalay Bay?
Me & sis saw the heartfelt memorials a couple of days after on LV Blvd.
I never followed the “official” word on that and if the perps were in prison.
(worst case scenario and very very conspiratorial...there is a very large Droneport just outside of Vegas)
I love my country, but I have a hard time believing my government at times. Some reps lie and are backed up by a propaganda machine that Goebbels would envy.
Examples? I would get carpal tunnel typing them all. I don’t think it’s covered under Hillary/Romney/Obamacare...if you like your doctor...

Its still here. We just walked through it a week ago because we wanted to relive old memories, but its a ghost of its former self. Owned by Circus Circus, its a mess also.
