I do see that, but there’s also many jobs where people go into work and sit in front of their computers all day long except for coffee, lunch, and bathroom breaks.

I was a telecommunications technician for for forty years but the last almost ten years I had moved into program and project management. Spreadsheets, power points, emails, documents and conference calls.   I worked from home several days out of the week, mostly only going into the office on Fridays.

Then the last five years I worked only from home and even gave up my office when the facility manager needed the space.   I worked for various managers around the country and never saw them face-to-face.   A couple of them were bungeecord managers that swooped in and were gone in a week or two.   I even reported to a Vice President for a time when he wanted to have more direct reports so he would be less vulnerable to getting the axe himself.

So, yes, there are jobs that can be done from home, and have been already.
