Their intent from the start is to let this run wild.
It was about mid February that they activated the military pandemic plan. I think the decision was made then. But, why? Because its too transmissible to be contained and its not going to be that bad, or because it is going to be that bad? Leaked documents on Business Insider and ZeroHedge today say in the US 98MM infections, 480M deaths, hospitals should prepare for 10X a severe flu season.
I am going to jump in here....reality check is there is nothing they could really feasibly do to stop it. The only thing in the arsenal is to slow it down.
Why does slowing it down work? It gives the hospitals time...time to save lives.
They are working the results of the evaluation of the Pandemic Results from 1918. The results say locking stuff down too early, too soon...allows for resurgence at worse rates in the fall.
There is nothing to do except prepare the American people for a very, very bad ride. If it turns out appearing it wasn’t so bad here...it’s because it was slowed down. And the health system saved lives instead of being overrun by it.
480M deaths? giggle. where’d we get the extra 120M?
Weren’t they actually predicting 480,000 deaths?
