Thanks for the info. We need to remember to look at the pictures of their deployment and see if the gear is as you described.

Abstract

Introduction: Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection has been characterized by rapid spread and unusually large case clusters. It is important to have an estimate of the current state of COVID-19 epidemic in the U.S. to develop informed public health strategies.

Methods: We estimated the potential scale of the COVID-19 epidemic (as of 03/01/2020) in the U.S. from cases imported directly from Wuhan area. We used simulations based on transmission dynamics parameters estimated from previous studies and air traffic data from Wuhan to the U.S and deliberately built our model based on conservative assumptions. Detection and quarantine of individual COVID-19 cases in the U.S before 03/01/2020 were also taken into account. We. A SEIR model was used to simulate the growth of the number of infected individuals in Wuhan area and in the U.S.

Results: With the most likely model, we estimated that there would be 9,484 infected cases (90%CI 2,054-24,241) as of 03/01/2020 if no intervention procedure had been taken to reduce the transmissibility in unidentified cases. Assuming current preventive procedures have reduced 25% of the transmissibility in unidentified cases, the number of infected cases would be 1,043 (90%CI 107-2,474).

Conclusion: Our research indicates that, as of 03/01/2020., it is likely that there are already thousands of individuals in the US infected with SARS-CoV-2. Our model is dynamic and is available to the research community to further evaluate as the situation becomes clearer.

Every single senior government official, Executive, Legislature, Judicial—should be tested, no exceptions

You'd better do it quick or you are going to have to fly to New Zealand to test them...

I use the Tyvek suits when painting cars, and you want about an 80F air temp for that, and after about 30mins I’m ready to exit.

Trump, Pence and Pelosi should be tested daily.

they need quarantine a couple of people in the presidential line of succession..

Barr might be the best choice since members of Congress may have been exposed

but lets say Pence gets it,three presidential line of succession are on his panel

Absolutely. If it was so right and bold to stop flights from Wuhan, bring that logic forward.

Trump is more concerned with telling us how good they are, instead of calming the waters.

I am so disappointed with his response.

Not gonna bail on him..but he sounds like Bush, or Bush....

Cancel flights. Shut down the borders. Test folks coming in the country.

Doctors in northern Italy say they could soon be forced to decide who will live and who will die, as intensive care units become overwhelmed. #Coronavirus mortality rate in Lombardy is now over 8% - likely higher than Wuhan.

Just got, yet, one more chest freezer. Will be filling it tomorrow. I figure that after that, time’s up! ...for the complete freedom to buy what we want, when we want.

By the way, Costco told us that their meats are selling out like crazy...wonder why?

Third case of COVID-19 confirmed in Wisconsin
13 min ago

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) and Public Health Madison and Dane County announced today that a third person has tested positive for COVID-19. The person was exposed while traveling in the United States and is currently isolated at home. County health officials are working to determine the people who have been in contact with the patient to isolate or quarantine people and test those who are exhibiting symptoms.

“We are working with our local health departments to make sure everyone who has been in contact with our confirmed cases is notified. We continue to urge state residents to take precautions to avoid illness,” said State Health Officer Jeanne Ayers. “As guidance is evolving, it’s important for people to monitor the DHS and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) websites for the latest information and guidance on COVID-19.”
