Atlanta used to be such a nice city...
How many folks with the flu in that school district this year, yet no shutdown? This is absolutely INSANE!
Two religious private schools here are closed for two weeks because the parents of a student ‘preemptively tested positive’.................
itinerant teacher who works at Bear Creek Middle School, Woodland Middle School and Creekside High School had tested positive for COVID-19. The teacher was at school on Friday when she fell ill. Staff called 911 to take her to the hospital, where she has been ever since.
That one person must have done a lot of travelling from school to school in order to justify a closure of this magnitude. Or it could be that the Fulton County school board is run by nitwits. Fulton County is where Atlanta is. You decide.
Doesn’t mention, so I guess we can assume it is community transmission.
Ive been reading some of the most overreactionary, mentally retarded, idiocy over this crap lately. Its the flu people. Its probably been here longer than we think, and almost everyone, especially children, are going to be just fine. Stop the madness!!!!!
teacher was at school and got very ill..911 was called...exposed a lot of students
Spring Break coming up soon. Might as well shut it down for 2 weeks and only lose 5 school days.
Feel sorry for the parents who will be inconvenienced...
but less traffic is always welcome.
Native since 1950.
Are you from Ga? My husband is in Fulton Co- he is a recovering throat cancer survivor, over 60 and is extremely high risk.
If anyone hears where this is, can you please PM me?
Thank you.
Based on concerns over the virus, Fulton County says they immediately dismissed Bear Creek Middle School, Woodland Middle School, and Creekside High School. All schools in Fulton County, including most in Atlanta, will be closed on Tuesday as a precaution to assess potential risk and to clean and disinfect all schools.

An employee with the Fulton County School District tested positive for coronavirus. All Fulton County Schools are closed today. Schools will be cleaned today. The superintendent will finalize a plan for the district no later than 5pm today.
@wsbtv
They clearly didn’t have a plan already in place.
Idiots.
